The D III Public Sector Accounting Program was established in 2009, is one of the study programs under FEB, Trisakti University based on the DIKTI operational license SK No.70/D/T/2009 and operational extension through the Higher Education Decree No. 12267/D/T/K-III/2012.

In 2013 obtained accreditation from BAN-PT with a C rating based on SK No. 190/SK/BAN-PT/AK-XII/Dipl-III/IX/2013 dated 21 September 2013.

In 2016 obtained accreditation from BAN-PT with a B rating in accordance with SK Dikti No.1453/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/Dipl-III/2016 dated August 4, 2016.

In 2021, BAN-PT obtained accreditation with a B rating according to the Higher Education Decree No. 11127/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/Dipl-III/IX/2021 dated 28 September 2021.
