The Diploma III Program in Public Sector Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University, conducted a Community Service Program (PkM) at Zuema Enterprise in Sarawak, Malaysia. This activity provided comprehensive insights into business management, particularly in the areas of financial record-keeping and MSME business development.

Through this program, the PkM team also gained direct understanding of the Mee Kolok production process, business capacity, and the marketing strategies implemented by Zuema Enterprise. Mee Kolok Sarawak is recognized as the first halal-certified Mee Kolok in Sarawak. The business has successfully maintained consistent sales performance and expanded into international markets, while also strengthening the global identity of Sarawak’s traditional culinary heritage.

In addition to serving as a platform for observation and learning, the activity also facilitated discussions and the exchange of ideas regarding business development. The owner of Zuema Enterprise, Mrs. Normawati, received various recommendations related to strengthening marketing systems and improving accounting records to support more effective and sustainable business management.

This Community Service Program also provided mutual benefits for higher education institutions, particularly in strengthening the role of universities in empowering MSMEs. Furthermore, the program supported internationalization initiatives through cross-border collaboration, creating opportunities for cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of entrepreneurship.

Through direct interaction with business practitioners abroad, participants gained a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by MSMEs in competing in the global market. Overall, the activity was carried out successfully and generated added value for both the business partner and the implementation team.
